As a professional architect, Karl has focused
on the challenge of providing attentive, transparent service to
clients with demanding construction and project management challenges.
He has guided projects ranging in type from fast-track schedule
driven development work, to complex, highly sensitive medical facilities,
to the elaborate security environment of federal courtrooms.
His professional credentials include a Masters
degree in architecture from the Ohio State University; a bachelor’s
degree in English literature from OSU; recognition by the American
Institute of Architects as a member professional; certification
by the US Green Building Council as a LEED Professional (Leadership
in Environmental and Energy Efficient Design); certification from
the Construction Specifications Institute as a construction documents
specialist.
His construction credentials include many years
as a construction worker and independent general contractor before
turning towards professional architectural practice.
In addition to his construction industry expertise,
Karl brings to projects the skills and knowledge he has gained
from his work in international development. He is currently active
with education and community development projects in Guatemala
and Zimbabwe. He also served with the US Peace Corps in Africa
from 1987 to1990 as an agricultural extension agent. |
Andrew Rosenthal - principal
MA Architecture
AIA, NCARB
A licensed architect working in central Ohio
for nearly a decade - Andrew has completed projects that range
from historic renovation and adaptive reuse to new-build construction.
Passionate about the dialogue between architect and client – the
common thread in his work has been the desire to integrate pragmatic
user-driven considerations with innovative design ideas.
Outside the Midwest – he has worked on
a series of design studios in Manhattan for Victoria’s Secret,
Express, and Limited Brands. Other projects include a new childcare
facility for The Ohio State University, corporate headquarters,
private residences, industrial buildings and along
the way a restaurant and a nightclub.
Andrew received a bachelor’s degree in
history and political science from Miami University. He honed his
listening skills working in constituent relations for a State Representative
before pursuing a master’s degree in architecture from The
Ohio State University.
On-going support for Ohio State and architectural
education led Andrew to accept a seat on the Board of Governor’s
for the Knowlton School of Architecture Alumni Association – as
well as periodic stints as an adjunct professor of architectural
design. |
